What it means
Anode Depleted (models with sensing anode). The ANODE text illuminates and the control beeps; the anode rod is approaching end of life.
What GE says to do
Call Service to replace sensing anode (see anode replacement section in manual). Press the Anode 'Hold To Reset' button once to silence; after replacement, press and hold for 5 seconds to reset.
